The Indian Premier League is one of the most entertaining series to watch just like any other reality show. The hustle bustles of the cheerleaders, pom-poms in the air and the whole stadium packed to witness a thrilling showdown between the rivals. Cricket as a sport in a country like India is not just a game but a feeling. Every sports lover, and any other random person would be hooked on to their television just to watch MS Dhoni hit a six, or watch Rahul Sharma make another century. The IPL best players and the IPL team is rightfully divided among the masses, and each of these squads have their supporters on their tiptoes hooting for their victory.

The history has witnessed some best most wickets in IPL, or the most runs in IPL to solely account for. However it may be, but there’s a whole abundance of epic moments and failures captured in the records. The public have encountered some exciting matches, seen outstanding performances, yet cringe worthy ones too, and have related to some emotional moments as well. The very foundation of any sports is rivalry, and on a positive note, a tough competition among some teams indeed stands out, and make their way to the headlines.

Some instances that have helped make the IPL so memorable over the years apart from keeping tracks of the most fours in IPL, but when Brendon McCullum set the Chinnaswamy Stadium ablaze with a blistering knock! However, the most often question we google is, who have been the movers and shakers in the last ten years of India’s most precious entertaining league?

As IPL enters its 13th season this year, we decided to walk through some epic moments of those individuals and team performances from the last twelve years, which will remain engraved in the history of the Indian Premier League:

The 23 April 2017 IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. The KKR team had made just 131 runs, and the opposition team having three all-time great T20 batsmen in their line-up, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli, and AB de Villiers, could have given KKR a tough sniff, let alone the RCB ended up making 82 runs instead. Virat Kohli’s first-baller set in motion a slide to a paltry 49 all out. And, that is the worst performances of Virat Kohli of all times, and team RCB batsmen did not make it to double figures as their innings subsided within 10 overs.

Moving on to the universe’s boss defining moment bestowed to the audience by Chris Gayle holding off the title of “greatest batsman”. Chris Gayle’s records have run-scorer and century-makers, and his match against Pune Warriors set the records straight. Chris broke his own record, 175 runs off 66 balls, of 13 fours and 17 sixes. The whole world witnessed Chris at his most destructive avatar on the field, the cricketer slew the highest score in IPL.
