He took the side to the playoffs in 2012. In Delhi’s history of 12 years, Sehwag has scored the maximum runs.
In 86 matches, he has scored 2382 runs. The former opening batsman of India has maintained a good average of 29.77. What’s most impressive about the explosive batsman is his strike rate of over 150. He scored one century, and as many as 15 half-centuries for Delhi Capitals. His best season with the bat was the 2012 season, in which he scored 495 runs. It was also arguably Delhi’s best season in the IPL.

#2. Rishabh Pant – 1736
Highest Scorers for DC: There are not many players in IPL who have a better strike rate than the great Virender Sehwag, but Rishabh Pant is one of those players. He has been a part of Delhi Capitals ever since he got a chance to play in the IPL. In 54 matches, he has scored 1736 runs.
Pant has maintained a brilliant average of over 35, and a staggering strike rate of over 160. He has scored 1 century and 11 half-centuries so far. In 2018, he won an award for hitting the maximum number of sixes in that season – 37. Overall, he is just 6 sixes short from completing 100 sixes in IPL. Pant’s best season in IPL was the 2018 one, in which his average crossed 50, and strike rate knew no bounds and soared over 170.

Just like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer is one such player who has not played for any other IPL team but Delhi Capitals. He got a chance to play in the tournament a year before Pant did. The current skipper of Delhi Capitals has represented the team 62 times.
He has scored 1681 runs so far. Unlike the previous two mentions, Shreyas Iyer is not a very explosive player and has a strike rate of a notch over 125. But he is very consistent with the bat and has an average of over 30. His best season was the last one, in which he scored 463 runs at an average of over 30. His consistency helped Delhi Capitals reach playoffs after a long time.

Most Runs for DC: Many might think that David Warner became the beast he is today during his time at Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, he was brilliant for the erstwhile Delhi Daredevils as well. Warner spent 5 years at Delhi Capitals, in which he did a considerable amount of destruction to other teams by pairing up with Virender Sehwag at the top of the order.
He played 57 matches for Delhi Capitals, in which he scored 1456 runs. Just like Sehwag and Pant, he was also very explosive with the bat. During his time at Delhi, his strike rate was over 130. #5 Gautam Gambhir – 1200
Highest Scorers for DC: Gautam Gambhir and David Warner share two similarities – both have lifted the trophy while leading their side, and both spent the early days in IPL at Delhi Capitals. The two-time IPL winner Gautam Gambhir, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders in 2011, had an amazing three seasons for Delhi.
