Although they started life as the Deccan Chargers in the inaugural IPL season, the franchise from Hyderabad transformed into the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013 after the Chargers ceased to exist due to prolonged financial issues with the ownership.

Most Wins by SRH: Their inaugural season in the IPL may have come a few years after most of their competitors, but Sunrisers Hyderabad made it a debut campaign to remember by claiming 10 wins in 16 matches in 2013. Their winning form saw them take fourth place in the league table, only to go on to crash out in the playoffs and take fourth place in the overall standings as well.

#2. 2014 (6 wins)
After an encouraging start to their IPL journey in 2013, the number of Sunrisers Hyderabad total wins in IPL matches took a little beating in 2014. SRH were only able to amass 6 wins in 14 group stage games in 2014, ending up outside the knockout stages in sixth place overall.
#3. 2015 (7 wins)

Most Wins by SRH: The 2016 season is undoubtedly the most successful season in Sunrisers Hyderabad history. What makes it even more impressive is the fact that they got off to a slow start in the tournament, only winning 8 out of their 14 group stage games and finishing in third place at the end of the group stage. However, they found form at just the right time to mount a title challenge and stormed through the qualifier, eliminator, and final to claim their maiden title. It was always unreasonable to expect SRH to recreate their heroics from last year, but they had a good go at it! Total Wins by SRH: The 2018 edition of the IPL was the best for SRH in terms of league position, as 9 wins in 14 matches in the group stage saw them storm to first place in the league table. However, they endured a wobble at the wrong time and lost the opening game of the knockout round. Boasting one of the most destructive opening pairings in world cricket, Sunrisers Hyderabad took the IPL by storm in 2019. SRH finished fourth in the league table with 6 wins from 14 and were dumped out at the first time of asking in the playoffs.
