#5. 92 v Sunrisers Hyderabad (2016)
The first entry on this list of lowest scores by MI in IPL matches comes from their encounter with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2016 season. SRH went in to bat first, and it was a former Mumbai Indian who put MI to the sword. Shikhar Dhawan top-scored with an unbeaten 82 off 57 balls, sharing an 85-run stand for the first wicket with David Warner, who scored 48. After a burst lower down the order from Yuvraj Singh, SRH posted 177/3. Mumbai Indians’ innings got off to a dismal start, and they were six down before reaching 50 runs. Only a late rearguard action from Harbhajan Singh, who top-scored for MI with 21, saved some embarrassment for Mumbai Indians but wasn’t enough to prevent an 85-run loss.

#4. 92 v Rajasthan Royals (2013)
The entry at number four on this list of lowest team total by MI in IPL cricket folows the pattern of the previous match almost exactly. This time, the opponents were Rajasthan Royals, who posted 179/3 in the first innings thanks to a sparkling 68 from Ajinkya Rahane and useful contributions from Shane Watson, Dishant Yagnik, and Brad Hodge. When it was Mumbai’s turn to bat, they had not accounted for Ajit Chandila, who sent both Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting packing in a memorable opening salvo. The MI innings never recovered from the early setback, eventually folding up for 92 and crashing to an 87-run defeat.

Completing a hat-trick of scores of 92 on this list of lowest scores by MI in IPL history is this match against Delhi Daredevils from 2012. The franchise from the capital is usually one of Mumbai’s favourite opponents, as they have scored two of their top 5 highest scores in IPL matches against them. #2. 87 v Kings XI Punjab (2011)
The first entry on this list of lowest team total by MI in IPL matches that isn’t 92 comes from their match against Kings XI Punjab in 2011 in Mohali.
