IPL Hat Tricks
Taking a hat-trick in any form of cricket is a rare achievement, but taking one in T20 cricket is even more remarkable. As it happens, a number of players have done it in the IPL over the years, all of which we have listed down here.

List of Hat-tricks in IPL 2008:
1. Lakshmipathy Balaji (CSK v KXIP)
The very first hat trick in IPL cricket was taken by Lakshmipathy Balaji in the first season itself, while he was playing for his local outfit Chennai Super Kings against one of his former sides, Kings XI Punjab.

2. Amit Mishra (DD v DC)
Amit Mishra has taken the most hat tricks in IPL history and got started early by taking one in the very first season for Delhi Daredevils against the Deccan Chargers, the team he would go on to join and also take a hat trick for!
3. Makhaya Ntini (CSK v KKR)
The only South African to have taken a hat trick in IPL cricket, Ntini grabbed his while playing for Chennai Super Kings against KKR.

4. Yuvraj Singh (KXIP v RCB)
IPL Hat Tricks: 2009 was a strange year for hat tricks in IPL cricket – three of them were taken, all three by batsmen! Yuvraj Singh grabbed the first one on the list for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
5. Rohit Sharma (DC v MI)

6. Yuvraj Singh (KXIP v DC)
Yuvraj took his second hat trick of the season later on in 2019 with one against eventual champions Deccan Chargers.

7. Praveen Kumar (RCB v RR)
Praveen Kumar was a wily bowler who could swing the ball a mile, and it’s no surprise to see him make this list. His hat-trick came against Rajasthan Royals in 2010 while he was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
8. Amit Mishra (DC v KXIP)
IPL Hat Tricks: Amit Mishra makes his second appearance on this list of bowlers to have taken a hat trick in IPL cricket with his effort for Deccan Chargers against Kings XI Punjab in 2011.

List of Hat-tricks in IPL 2012
9. Ajit Chandila (RR v PWI)
Although his IPL career ended in disrepute, Ajit Chandila did manage to bag a hat trick in the tournament, with his effort coming against Pune Warriors India while playing for Rajasthan Royals.
10. Sunil Narine (KKR v KXIP)
It was only a matter of time before the mystery spinner himself featured on this list of bowlers to have taken a hat trick in IPL cricket. Sunil Narine managed the feat against Kings XI Punjab while playing for KKR in 2013.

11. Amit Mishra (SRH v PWI)
Amit Mishra took the third of his three hat-tricks in IPL cricket against Pune Warriors India in 2013 while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

12. Pravin Tambe (RR v KKR)
IPL Hat Tricks: The veteran leg-spinner took the IPL by storm during his spell in the tournament, where his highlight was taking a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders while playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2014.
13. Shane Watson (RR v SRH)
Is there anything this man can’t do? IPL titles, Orange Caps, Man of the Series awards, and even a hat-trick for Rajasthan Royals against Sunrisers Hyderabad? Truly an all-rounder!

15. Samuel Badree (RCB v MI)
The second West Indian spinner to have taken a hat trick in IPL cricket, Samuel Badree managed the feat against Mumbai Indians while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

IPL Hat Tricks: Andrew Tye made a huge impact in the IPL following his debut season with Kings XI Punjab and made his opportunity with Gujarat Lions count as well by taking a hat-trick against Rising Pune Supergiant!
17. Jaydev Unadkat (RPS v SRH)
The third hat trick in IPL 2017 came via Jaydev Unadkat, who took three in three against Sunrisers Hyderabad while playing for Rising Pune Supergiant.

19. Shreyas Gopal (RR v RCB)
Shreyas Gopal has been making waves with his consistent performances in the IPL for a couple of seasons now, both with the ball as well as bat in hand. One of his best moments in a Rajasthan Royals jersey came in the 2019 season when he took his one and an only hat trick in IPL cricket against his local side Royal Challengers Bangalore!
