IPL 2022 Schedule

One of the biggest T20 franchise league in the world have revealed their start and end date of next edition which will start from 26^th March 2022 and will end on 29^th May 2022.

It will be a 74 match contest in which 70 matches will be part of league stage as the next edition of cash rich league will have a presence of 10 teams so team of five will be divided into group of two based on the number of titles they have won till date.

On sunday, BCCI announced the schedule for the long awaited tournament and the first match is between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the opening night of Indian Premier league 2022

BCCI also made the new format this year, new format is currently based on 2011 format of IPL which has been tweaked little bit this time around as every team will play against other team in the same group twice along with playing top seeding team of other group twice which in turn will make the number of matches till 10 and then they will be playing other four teams once in the other group which will count the total number of matches to 14.

Ipl 2022 Team wise Schedule

On Sunday night BCCI announced the schedule of IPL 2022. Punjab Kings (PBKS) play their first game on March 27 against RCB at the DY Patil stadium in Navi Mumbai. It is the second of the two games that day with DC and Mumbai Indians playing a 3 pm game as well.

The IPL 2022 will be a 10-team affair with two new teams added in ipl (Lucknow Supergiant, Gujarat Titans). Group A has teams like MI, KKR, DC, RR and LSG. Group B consists of CSK, RCB, SRH, PBKS and GT.
