Why Kl Rahul is not a right choice to lead India in future?

Kl Rahul slowly and steadily has transformed himself as a prolific batsman for India in the last few years in all three formats and he is also the current vice-captain of Men in Blue in the T20 format and in years to come, he can become the next captain of India but making him leader of India in future would not be a wise decision. There are several reasons which suggest that Kl Rahul as a leader will not flourish but as a batsman, he will do his job. Let us ponder a few reasons which suggest why KL Rahul should not lead India in the future in detail.

If the last two season records are seen, it is evident that Rishabh Pant, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma are not the worst captains. Sunrisers Hyderabad is in a poor position on the points table but was able to qualify for the knockouts last time. So, the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad cannot be ranked as the worst captain this year. But, it’s true that the Deccan outfit replaced their skipper owing to bad results at the start of the campaign.

But the Leader who has failed to qualify for the semifinal for the last two seasons despite contributing huge with the willow is none other than Punjab Kings skipper Kl Rahul. The team is heavily relied on him in batting despite having some good overseas players in the batting lineup and when it comes to bowling it is majorly dependent on the experience of Mohammad Shami. 

Kl Rahul has often not fielded right playing X1 on the park considering the conditions and often his bowling changes have been questioned especially in the crunch moments of the game. When you look at their support staff which has big names like Anil Kumble, Jonty Rhodes, and Wasim Jaffer you feel that there is something not right in that dressing room as they know this thing deep down that they have all the ingredients but the problem is that they are not aware of which one to use when considering the situation.
