Ajinkya Rahane is a very cool, calm, and composed person, and even the times he has handled the captaincy the results were quite good as he doesn’t involve himself in banter he focusses on his game only.
He is now moved from Rajasthan Royals to Delhi Capitals to which he said: “It will be a new challenge for him and he will cherish that”.
Ajinkya Rahane has been the top scorer for the Rajasthan team whether it is IPL or CLT 20.
At a strike rate of 122.60, he has scored 3098 runs in 106 matches he has played for them.
Taking about adjusting in his new team he replied “Most of the boys who are in Delhi we play together in Indian team so comfort factor is definitely there. It may be Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer.”
Rahane who has played 65 test match, 90 ODI and 20 t20 matches for India and with the way he has conducted himself on the field he is often compared with the demeanour like Rahul Dravid.
To which he replied, “It is nice to be talked about in the same sentence as Rahul Dravid as he also played alongside him in India as well as in Rajasthan Royals.”
He also has an influence of Sachin Tendulkar another great batting maestro from India. He has played alongside both the cricketers i.e He was in the same squad in 2011 for ODI and t20 where Dravid was in the match and he also got an opportunity to play with Sachin in 2013 during his test debut in Delhi against Australia.
However, Rahane had a high heap of praise for both the legendary cricketers where he added “Both the cricketers are legends and especially the way they have conducted themselves on and off the field apart from being a good human being. I try to emulate them both in my daily life.
