Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma is on course to etch his name in the record books. The Mumbai Indians skipper is just two runs short of achieving a huge milestone. He has scored 4998 runs in Indian Premier League and is just two runs short of achieving 5000 runs in his IPL career.

Currently, only two Indian batsmen, Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli have scored more than 5000 runs in IPL. Virat Kohli is the leading run-scorer in IPL with 5430 runs to his name in 180 matches. Suresh Raina, on the other hand, has scored 5368 runs in 193 games at an average of 33.34.

Add to that, Rohit Sharma is just 10 runs short of completing 600 runs against KXIP in his IPL career. Rohit, in his last outing, could only score 8 runs off 8 balls against RCB. In three games, he has managed to compile 100 runs in IPL 2020, including one half-century.
