Although the match is yet to start, the social media dog fight has reached its extreme before the cricket match. Once Hotstar released the Mauka Mauka advertisement on audiovisual mediums, since then both the teams are going loggerheads by posting mocking videos trying to give the match a shape of political rivalry.

The ICC has already tried to defend itself for not having reserve days for the group matches due to some logistical issues.
