Watch: Indian Women’s team recreates iconic Kala Chashma song after winning World Cup title against England

Women in Blue delivered a standout performance against Three Lions Women, defeating the latter by seven wickets to win the World Cup for the first time.

Shafali Verma deserves a lot of praise for her outstanding leadership throughout the competition.

England did not drop a single game prior to the championship game, however India did drop a game against Australia.

India celebrated in their own way after winning the world cup. Others performed an iconic dance to the Kala Chashma song that has gone viral on social media while others were visibly moved.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) posted the viral film, which has already received a tremendous amount of social media attention.

In terms of the entire game, India chose to field first after winning the toss.

The England women’s team failed to take advantage of their opportunity to bat first and was bowled out for 68 runs.

Different bowlers, including Parsavi Chopra, Titas Sadhu, and Archana Devi, who each claimed two wickets, deserve credit for this superb effort against England’s batters.

They were supported by one wicket each by Mannat Kashyap, Sonam Yadav, and captain Shafali Verma.

India needed 69 runs to win; however, despite the opening batters losing their wickets, players further down the order, such as Gonda Trisha and Soumya Tiwari, managed to score 55 runs, which allowed India to win.

For this incredible triumph, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah declared a payment of Rs 5 crore to the entire squad and support crew.
