Shubman Gill Breaks MS Dhoni’s Jio Cinema Peak Viewership Record, Check out!

It seems as if records and Shubman Gill go hand in hand. After becoming the only player after Virat Kohli to score 800+ runs in a single season, Gill has overhauled a record which was held by 4-time IPL winning captain with Chennai Super Kings MS Dhoni.

Before we get into it we must talk about the innings that Shubman Gill played last night. He scored an emphatic Full-century which was his 3rd this season but it wasn’t just another century for him. He was batting at a daunting Strike rate of 215 as he smacked 129 off 60 balls.

During a league stage match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 17, the viewership according to Jio Cinema clocked at 2.4 Crores. In that match, CSK scored 226 runs in the first innings and later went on to win the match by just 8 runs.
