1. Rinku Singh
During the auction for IPL 2018, UP-born batter Rinku Singh was bought for 80 Lakhs. This year he truly showcased his capability and performed at his level best. Rinku is among the players who had a breakout season this year. In 14 matches he scored 474 runs along with 4 half-centuries. In case you forgot, he is the one who smacked 5 sixes in an over to win a match.
2. Yashasvi Jaiswal
He was originally bought for a price of 2.4 crores in 2020 and 3 years later he is playing even more worthy innings. Jaiswal in his 4th IPL campaign this year, had his best time with the bat. He scored 625 runs in 14 IPL 2023 league matches including a full century.
3. Shivam Dube
The left-hand batter was bought by CSK for INR 4 Crores in IPL 2023 auction and what a season he has had. He has shown every sign of shaping up into a big hitter and provided the finishing touches toward the death overs. This season Dube scored 386 runs at a strike rate of 158 along with 3 half-centuries.
4. Tilak Varma
Mumbai Indians acquired his services in IPL 2022 auction for 1.70 crores after an intense tussle with other franchises at the auction table. He proved to be MI’s best player last season as he scored 397 runs in 14 matches and this year too he showed his quality but missed a few games due to injury. In 11 IPL 2023 matches, Tilak amassed 343 runs at a strike rate of 163.
5. Sai Sudarshan
Gujarat Titans bought this talented top-order batter for his base price of INR 20 lakh in the IPL 2022 Mega auction. They could have found themselves a gem in Sai Sudarshan. Last year on his debut season, the Southpaw scored 145 runs in 5 matches and this year he scored 266 runs in 7 IPL 2023 matches.
