Shubman Gill all set to win Orange Cap in IPL 2023

The extremely talented Starboy of Indian cricket, Shubman Gill is inevitably set to win the IPL 2023 Orange Cap. He experienced his most productive season in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League since making his debut in 2018 for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Year by year he has improved himself to all extent. In 2020 he scored 440 runs, in 2021 he finished 478, last year he smacked 483 runs and this year he ended up with 851 runs. Shubman Gill also became the 2nd Indian batter to score 3 Centuries in a single season and he truly deserves to put on the IPL 2023 Orange Cap.

Royal Challengers Bangalore’s captain Faf Du Plesis will be gutted to finish 2nd in the IPL 2023 Orange Cap race. He could have scored more if RCB didn’t crash out in front of Gujarat Titans during their final league stage fixture. In 14 matches, Du Plesis scored 730 runs at a strike rate of 153.68.

Du Plesis’ opening partner Virat Kohli met the same fate as his South-African team mate. In 14 matches, Virat Kohli scored 639 runs to finish 3rd IPL 2023 Orange Cap race.

Rajasthan Royals’ opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal also experienced his most prolific season ever. IPL 2023 was his 4th year playing for RR and he finished 4th in IPL 2023 Orange Cap race. In 14 league matches, Jaiswal amassed 625 runs including a full-century against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Last but not the least, CSK’s Kiwi opening batter Devon Conway in only his 2nd IPL campaign has smashed 625 runs in 15 matches. He will have a chance to go 3rd in that list but he has had a season to remember.
