Sanju Samson will represent India after IPL if he will have a consistent season: Shane Warne

Rajasthan Royals mentor Shane Warne believes that if Sanju Samson keeps on performing consistently in the ongoing edition of Indian Premier League 2020 he has a strong chance to represent India in all formats of the game.

Samson has been instrumental with the bat for Royals in two matches they have played till now in IPL 2020. As in the first match against Chennai Super Kings, he scored 74 runs whereas in the second game against KXIP he played a superb knock of 85 runs while chasing the giant total of 224 runs which they achieved successfully.

Legendary Spinner Shane Warne who is also the mentor of Rajasthan Royal‘s for the ongoing season talked about the team tactics as well as about his role in detail.

“Sanju Samson, I have been saying this for a long time now, Sanju should be playing all forms of the game for India. He is such a quality player, he has shown that class again in the first game and I hope he has a consistent tournament this year. If he has a consistent tournament this year you will see him representing India in all forms of the game”.Warne told ANI.

“He Is such a talented player, I have seen a lot of talented players in my team but watching Samson bat, in the nets being around him, speaking to him over the years and now watching him evolve I mean he is something else. He is a very special talent and I hope he hits International stage very soon” added the 51-year-old.

Warne has been involved with the franchise from its inception as the Royals have lifted the title only once under his captaincy in 2008. Since there on he has played several role for the royals in all the editions of Indian Premier League. He has full hope that under the leadership of Steve Smith and other valuable players like Butler, Samson, Tewatia and Archer they have a strong chance to qualify for the playoffs of the ongoing cash-rich league.
