KKR vs RCB Match Summary: Andre Russell, You Beauty! Unbelievable Russel! Yes, you heard it right, KKR have won the match with five balls still remaining in the match.

West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has pulled off another victory, singlehandedly for KKR against RCB on Friday.

54 runs were needed in the last four overs. Mohammed Siraj came to ball the 18th over. It was going quite well up until then for RCB, which looked favorites till Siraj bowled the second high-waist no ball to Russel, only to discontinue bowling in the match.

Marcus Stoinis was given the job to complete Siraj’s over, and what followed was a Russel heist. The West Indies cricketer smashed three sixes in that over, including the one off Siraj’s no ball, as suddenly the equation came down to 30 off last two.

RCB most experienced Tim Southee was given in the ball in the nineteenth over but to no avail. Russel hammered 6,6,6,4,6 only to level the score with one over still to play.

Andre Russell literally took the game away from the jaws of the defeat of RCB, smashing 48 runs off 13 deliveries, thus giving another victory to KKR on Friday.

Chasing a daunting 205-run total, KKR were off to a brilliant start, courtesy Lynn and Robbie’s partnership. The duo put on 45-run partnership and helping their team go hand in hand with the required run rate.

KKR were cruising in the chase till the time, Kohli handed the ball to Pavan Negi, who turned the match on its head, picking two crucial wickets of both Lynn and Uthappa in just two overs as RCB broke the momentum, thus bringing down KKR’s run-rate in the chase. Chahal bowled equally well, giving away just 24 runs in his four overs and picked the crucial wicket of Nitish Rana.

But was followed was Andre Russel’s show who showed us that there is no target that this man cannot reach.

KKR vs RCB Match Summary: It took as many as four matches for RCB’s mainstays, Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers, to remind everyone why they are regarded as the best batsmen in world cricket. After losing four matches on the trot, it was necessary for Virat and De Villiers to score big. Come the game against Kolkata Knight Riders, the duo unleashed two brilliant knocks for RCB to post a daunting 205-run total on the board.

Parthiv Patel and Virat Kohli gave RCB a rollicking start, having made 64 runs in just 7 overs. The duo made full use of the powerplay overs, hammering KKR’s best bowlers all around.

Parthiv lost his wicket to Nitish Rana in the 8th over and what followed thereafter was a display of class and brutality. Skipper Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers stitched a stellar 108-run partnership as the duo took the total to 172 in 17 overs before Kohli lost a wicket to Kuldeep Yadav for a well-made 84 off 49 deliveries.  

Virat Kohli notched 84 runs off just 24 deliveries, including nine fours and two sixes, while AB De Villiers played an equally impressive inning, smacking 63 runs off 32 deliveries. The South African batsman struck four breath-taking sixes and four handsome fours.

Marcus Stoinis, too give a fine flourish in the end as his cameo of 28 off 13 took the total past 200 in the end.
