The IPL 2023 auction, which will feature 405 players, is returning and will take place on December 23, 2022, in Kochi, Kerala.
Only 87 slots are available, and only 30 spaces are open to players from outside the United States. Different franchises will choose players for these positions.
19 players, including one from outside India, are included in this group with a maximum reserve cost of 2 crores. Live coverage of the auction will begin at 2:30 PM IST.
On the Jio Cinema app, the IPL 2023 auction will be televised live.
This major event’s live broadcasting will be available in India on Star Sports networks. IPL auction’s official digital rights are owned by Viacom 18.
Out of the 10 franchisees, SRH will choose 12 players, of which 4 will be international players with a total of 42.25 crore available for their selection.
In contrast, KKR has the least amount of prize money available (7.05 crore), and every team would like to have ideal players in their starting lineup.
Most franchises would require wicketkeepers and all-rounders on their lineup based on prior performance.
Due of their all-around talent, Ben Stokes, Cameroon Green, and Sam Curran will draw more purchases. Other players like Mayank Agarwal and Manish Pandey will draw more spectators, and some of the young Indian stars will also sell out this major event.
Some of the best players, like Joe Root, will participate in the IPL 2023 auction for the first time. It will be intriguing to watch if he manages to find a buyer.
IPL has greatly benefited Indian cricket in general because many players’ financial situations have improved as a result of this prestigious event.
