IPL 2019 8th Match Summary : RR Shines, But SRH Outshines In A Nail Biting Finish

It was a heart-pounding contest between Rajasthan Royals and Sun Risers Hyderabad when the fans expected a one-sided game with SRH easily crushing the RR, but that wasn’t the case.

Rajasthan Royals opened the innings in a grand fashion, for the first time the world witnessed Ajinkya Rahane 2.0 as he was going berserk tearing apart the bowling, but in form, Joss Butler was dismissed cheaply at 5 by Rashid Khan.

RR looked all set for 180+ score, but once Samju Samson started smashing big 220 was on cards, and in no time Sanju Samson smashed a blistering hundred off just 55 balls including 10 fours and 2 sixes. In the end, RR settled for 198/2 in 20 overs.

Finally, SRH also rose to the occasion and both the openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow started throttling the bowlers to all sides of the ground. During the process, David Warner scored two consecutive fifties and earned the orange cap.

After the opener’s dismissal, things looked gloomy for SRH, But Vijay Shankar arrived at the crease like a thunderstorm and blown away the bowlers like a bunch of leaves. In the end, the run rate required reached 6 and Yusuf Pathan and Rashid Khan easily chased the target with 6 balls to spare.

Was adjudged man of the match for his heroics.
