Another issue in Indian cricket erupted after Ishan Kishan was selected to replace KL Rahul in the World Test Championship Final lineup. Many people feel that Sarfaraz Khan should have been awarded that role, and many have questioned the selection criterion in terms of domestic cricket performance in light of this choice.

KL Rahul’s catastrophic injury would prevent him from competing in the forthcoming World Test Championship Final, allowing Ishan Kishan the opportunity to bat. However, given Sarfaraz Khan’s impressive domestic run total, he should have been given the nod instead of Kishan.

The moment Kishan was announced a replacement for KL Rahul, many fans took to Twitter to express their opinion where some said “Congratulations Australia for winning World Test Championship final” as Men in Blue and Kangaroos will square off against each other for the prestigious title.

If you closely observe the runs scored by Sarfaraz in domestic circuit especially in Ranji Trophy 2022/23 season, he amassed 556 runs for Mumbai at an average of 92.66 he deserve a chance in national setup.

Fans have divided perspective on this subject as they consider Saha could have been the better option in place of Kishan as the former have amassed  more than 200 runs so far in IPL 2023.

So according to Indian selectors a big hitter like Surya Kumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan deserve to be in the test team while a poor IPL performer like Sarfaraz Khan who had topped the run chart in the last couple of Ranji tournament don't even deserve to be considered for standby

Kishan won’t have an opportunity to play in the starting X1 because the numbers from top to bottom are pretty set. Gill will open, followed by Sharma, Pujara, Kohli, and Rahane.

It will be challenging for Kishan to make the starting X1 roster given this batting lineup.
