NBA legend Charles Barkley is confident that Portland Trail Blazers will make a cut into the finals of NBA 2019-20 season. He also predicted that Blazers will not only make it to the eight seed, but they have enough firepower to upset star-studded line up of Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
The Blazers have been outstanding since the restart as they have clinched three wins out of four matches inside the bubble. They have also defeated second seed Denver Nuggets by 125-115.
However, they still have to win one more game in order to surpass the eight seed Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference. They are all set to make it to the playoffs and Barkley’s statement supporting Blazers will give enough confidence to them as a team to go out there and play with the best of their ability.
Barkley also predicted last year that Blazers will certainly qualify for the playoffs but the team failed to fulfil his expectations. He is also a two-time inductee of into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, being inducted in 2006 for his individual career, and in 2010 as a member of the “Dream Team”.
He was also the member of United States team who won gold medals in 1992 and 1996 Olympic games. Barkley retired from the game of basketball by becoming the fourth player in the NBA history who scored 20,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 4,000 assists.
