The 38-year-old has won numerous laurels in his career and if we sit here and count the awards and recognition this article would probably never end. But last night at the Crypto.com Arena, the fans turned up in numbers and when Lebron James hit his 38,388th goal the indoor stadium erupted to cheer the legend himself.
Surprisingly, this record was set by former Basketball player Abdul Jabbar in the same year as Lebron James was born – 1984. This record was untouchable for the next 40 years until Lebron James made it to the top in his 20th season of NBA.
“I just want to say thank you to the Laker faithful. You guys are one of a kind. To be able to be in the presence of such a legend as great as Kareem, it means so much to me. Its very humbling. Please give a standing ovation to the captain.”
