With a match value of 7.09 crore, the Women’s Premier League will soon exceed the PSL’s 2.07 crore record to become the second-richest league in the world.
The WPL 2023 auction was place in Mumbai, where 409 players were put up for bid, and some of the major names who we anticipated would net the greatest money remained unsold.
According to the BCCI’s new directive, each franchise had a budget of INR 12 crore and could choose up to 18 players.
The minimum investment required of franchises was 9 crore, therefore the majority of franchises made the most of it and some of the famous names went unsold.
