When BCCI made the decision to launch a full-fledged WPL (Women’s Premier League), it was perfect from the start. Whether it be declaring Viacom 18 as the media rights partner for a staggering INR 951 crore. The five different franchisees paid a staggering INR 4669 crore to acquire the teams.
The first round of this competition will be held in Gujarat and Mumbai. Premier League for women will be the landmark moment in T20 cricket as it will provide massive pathway for budding women cricketers to make the most out of it.
