India and Australia have marked their presence in the UK ahead of the WTC final 2023. The heated battle will commence on June 7 at the beautiful ground of London. The Oval ground will host the warm battle between the two cricketing giants. As usual, the conditions will be cold which will be a test for both teams’ players.

The Oval ground was established in 1845 and since then it has hosted a number of test matches. The ground now holds the record of hosting around 110 test matches. Out of 110 test matches, most matches took place in the months of September and October.

The wicket of the Oval is known to be batting-friendly and help batters immensely. Although the contest is going to take place in June and the weather conditions of the month are likely to provide a bit of assistance to the bowlers as well.

The traditional ground of London has a sitting capacity of more than 25,000. The cricket lovers from respective countries are likely to enjoy the warm battle between the two cricketing giants.

The former Australian bowler Jason Gillespie has opined ahead of the WTC final. He said, “It is going to be interesting whatever the weather conditions are. The Oval has come out as a batting-friendly surface, and with a quick outfield, it greatly favors runs. But if you go there in June, it could be able to help the bowlers a little more.”

India has only won two of its 14 games played at The Oval thus far, losing five and drawing seven. They have a 14.39% winning percentage.

Australia can’t say the same about their performance in the stadium. Only seven of Australia’s 38 matches have been in victories; the other seventeen have been losses, and 14 of their Test matches have ended in draws. They have an 18.42% winning percentage.

However, irrespective of the stats, the Oval test is going to be challenging for both teams. The weather conditions may play a major role in the WTC final.
