Hardik Pandya Test Return: BCCI all set to discuss ace all rounders Plan ahead of WTC final; T20 skipper not sure about his comeback

Hardik Pandya, India’s T20 captain, is a key member of the Men in Blue across all three formats.

Pandya is now playing white ball cricket for India; he has been out of the Test format for some time due to a shoulder injury.

According to many media sources, BCCI is interested in his return to Test cricket and wants to know about his plans.

The selection committee is enthusiastic about India’s chances in the WTC final and wants to know whether Pandya can play all three forms for India.

The absence of Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah is also felt by the BCCI, and someone like Hardik, who has absolute firepower with both bat and ball, may fill that need.

Shiv Sundar Das led Selection Committee and wants to know the ace all-rounders’ plan, as they have also Kept Shardul Thakur in the lineup due to his innate batting and bowling skills.

Top BCCI officials told Sportzcraazy that they merely wanted clarity from him and that there is no pressure on him to make a comeback. Because the final is being held in the Oval, his experience may come in handy.

Nonetheless, qualifying for the World Cup remains a distant possibility for India, as they must win their final match against Australia to do so.

“His availability will depend on his consent and how his body is reacting towards red ball cricket. Whether he is ready to play all three formats for that we will also consult with BCCI and NCA Medical team” BCCI source said while talking to Sportzcraazy.

Hardik Pandya has only played white-ball formats since his injury comeback, but he has done wonders for Men in Blue on several occasions, and he knows his body better than the medical team, so it will be intriguing to see whether he returns in red ball format.
