Young Indian batter Shubman Gill from the Gujarat Titans is continuing to make history as he unlocked yet another achievement last night at the World’s Largest cricket stadium. After Gill smacked 101 off 58 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, he became the youngest player ever to score centuries in all formats of cricket.
At 23-years of age, Gill has scored a Full century in One Day Internationals, T20 Internationals, Test matches and IPL. He was one of the key members in the Gujarat Titans team that won the IPL last season and this season too he is going to be crucial for GT if they are to defend the IPL title, something which has been done twice before.

CSK started the trend in 2010-2011 and Mumbai Indians won back-to-back titles in 2019-2020. GT have a great opportunity this year as they have retained and revitalized their core players very well. In terms of Batting as well as Bowling, GT have solidified each and every department and their position in IPL standings speaks enough about their performance.
Just like last season, Gujarat has become the first team reach the play-offs this year as they have 18 points in 13 IPL matches, winning 9 and losing 4. GT’s final league stage fixture is against Faf Fu Plesis’ Royal Challengers Bangalore away at the Chinnaswamy stadium on May 21.
Meanwhile if we talk about Shubman Gill’s performance this year then it is turning out to be his best season in the IPL. In 13 matches, the 23-year-old has amassed 576 runs at an average of 48 and powered by a strike rate of 146.19. Before scoring his maiden IPL ton last night, Gill scored 4 Fifties including a 90+ score against Lucknow Super Giants.
Overall, the Punjab born batter has scored 2476 runs in 87 appearances for Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans. Since making his debut in 2018, the Right-handed batter has been able to accumulate 250 Fours and 61 Sixes.
