WTC Final 2023 : Predictions and expert opinions on the outcome of the final

WTC Final 2023

As the WTC Final 2023 is set to start on June 7, both teams are set to give each other a tough fight at the Oval. In this article, you will find the prediction of the WTC Final and expert opinions on the outcome of the final.

India and Australia have started preparing for the WTC Final 2023, and they will give a tough fight and try to win. According to the report of the ICC review, Ravi Shastri picked the combined Test Combined XI for India and Australia’s WTC 2023 match.

He has picked Rohit Sharma as captain and has more experience than Pat Cummins; he has that much experience to explore and destroy the bowler. On the other hand, he picked up Shubman Gill and Usman Khawaja and also added that Shubman Gill is one of the rising stars and also a tremendous player, but Usman Khawaja is in current form, and over the last couple of years he has scored runs. Further, he also picked Marcus Labuschagne and said he is one of the best players and can go big.

Virat will play at No. 4. He has been amazing over the years and played one of the most brutal matches, and now he will go big. Smith, at five, will give a tough fight and can play a massive shot across the ground. No 6 Jadeja is one of the most impressive players and can destroy with his batting skills. Further, he also picked Nathon Lyon ahead of Ashwin; he is much stronger and can exploit the batter. I will go with keeper Alex Carey; he is one of the most brilliant keepers I have ever seen. Pat Cummins and Mohammad Shami, both pacers, are excellent at their best. Then I will pick up Mitchell Starc because he has pace and can put up a tough fight.

According to the report, former Indian Captain Sunil Gavaskar said, “The biggest test will be the fact that just about everybody will be coming out of T20 format, and test cricket is no longer format. So I think that’s going to be the big challenge. They have only Cheteshwar Pujara who has been playing in the English County Championship, so he will be the only guy who has played the longer format in these conditions, so that’s going to be the big challenge for them”. Further, he also spoke about Ajinkya Rahane, saying that he is in top form and has the opportunity to play in the World Test Championship.

“He’s got a lot of experience, having played in England and scoring runs in England. So, yes, I think he is going to be crucial down at number 5, and yes, I do believe he has a point to prove. I still feel he has plenty of cricket left in him, and this is a wonderful opportunity for him. I am hoping he will be able to grab this opportunity with all the experience that he has and make a place for him back in the Indian team,”. said Sunil Gavaskar.

“India have contributed and shown consistency and fitness, and the way they have fought is amazing”,  said Ravi Shastri to Sanjana host Ganesan on the ICC podcast. Further, he also added, “It’s the quality of players; if you look at these players, a lot of these players are at their prime.” When you look at the Indian Test side, there are players who fought for the Indian team, battled hard, and travelled around the world, which is what test cricket is all about”.

However, Australia is well prepared and will provide a tough fight. Former Australian Captain Ricky Pointing said

“India should hand the debut cap to Ishan Kishan, who will play a role as an X factor in the team”.

Hence, India and Australia will give a tough fight with their bowlers and batters at the Oval in the WTC Final. According to the expert opinion team, India is all set to face lots of challenges and win the WTC Final, while Australia will provide a hard battle to win.
