Lanka Premier League 2023: Jaffna Kings vs Galle Titans

Lanka Premier League 2023, is showing all the colours. Some of the matches of this tournament are very competitive, and today’s match was completely one-sided. Jaffna Kings tried their best, but they were not able to prove their value in this match. Even though, as per the points table, Jaffna Kings is a far better team than the Galle Titans. However, Galle Titans completely surprised all the critics, with their phenomenal bowling performance.

Wellalage’s 22 runs off 31 balls are certainly of no use, as he got out of 22 runs on 31 balls. Even though he got 4 fours, he was not able to rotate the strike.
Tail enders certainly tried hard, but much more was required by the team. Captain Thisara Perera scored 13 runs on 9 balls, with a six and a four. But that was not enough to lift the score.
On the last ball of the match Jaffna Kings were all out at the score of only 89 runs.

Galle Titans Innings

Galle Titans were ready to chase the short target of 90 runs.
They got a fine start of 35 runs, and even after Bhanuka Rajapak, Tim Seifert kept on going.
Galle Titans chased the target only in 13.3 overs.

Tim Seifert, went on to score a brilliant 55 off 42 balls. That helped the team to chase the target without much effort. This win has placed Galle Titans at no. 4 in the table.
