- The target that Jaffna Kings were set to chase was not a very big one. Their target was merely 135 runs. In a T20 game that is certainly chasable. However, apart from Shoaib Malik nobody looked determined to perform well.
- In the top 4 batters, not even a single batter was able to cross the score of 6 runs.
- By the time Shoaib Malik came out to bat, the score was 10-3 (3.6), and it was clear that he would need to perform extremely well to make his team win.
- From the 4th over to the 20th Over Shoaib Stood for the team, till the end of the match. However, this was not enough because, on the other end, not even a single batter was able to provide him support.
- There was a partnership between Malik and Wellalage, but even in that partnership, it was mainly Shoaib who was performing well. It was a partnership of 39 runs, and Wellalage contributed only 16 runs.
- The last partnership was between Theekshana and Malik, they both went on to have a partnership of 53 runs, in which only 9 runs were scored by Theekshana.
- In the end, only 125 runs were scored by the Kings.
It was an important win for Dambulla Aura and they are going to ensure that they stay on top of the table till the end of the tournament. Now, it is going to be crucial for the Jaffna Kings to bounce back before it gets too late.
