Paarl Royals have done something incredible today in the Boland Park Stadium, Paarl as the home crowd today have witnessed a bowling masterclass from the home team. They have bundled out the Joburg team for a score of 81 runs in just 17.2 overs leaving them with 82 runs to chase in 20 overs which they might do in the powerplay itself.

Paarl Royals came into this match with a disappointing performance against MI Cape Town in the first match of the league whereas Joburg Super Kings came with a win against the Durban Super Giants. Joburg captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first. His decision was proved wrong by his team’s batters as they had no answers to the questions asked by Paarl bowlers.
The team owned by the Rajasthan Royals IPL franchise started the match with two changes from the previous match. They bowled really well in the first innings and stopped Joburg at a score of 84 which is not huge in any form of cricket. The pick of the bowlers was Bjorn Fortuin who took 3 wickets while giving just 16 runs in his four overs (4-0-16-3). He got great support from Ngidi who also bowled well on his comeback (4-0-13-1). Other bowlers also complemented these two well.

Only four Joburg batters reached double-digit scores out of which three were tailenders. It was an abysmal batting display from a quality batting lineup that they would want to improve in the next match.
