S Sreesanth, the tainted fast bowler, couldn’t make the cut for the 2021 IPL auction, scheduled to take place in Chennai on February 18th 2021.

The 38 year old Indian speedster who registered himself in the upcoming IPL auction at a base price of INR 75 lakhs, but he couldn’t attract any of the franchises.

The Kerala speedster who played last in 2013 for Rajasthan Royals faced repercussions for allegedly involved in 2013 spot fixing scandal in an IPL match where he was initially sentenced life ban on playing cricket but later he got the decision overturned and was granted permission to play cricket again.

“A total of 1114 players had registered for the auction, of which the franchises shortlisted the candidates and the list was pruned. Maybe, Sreesanth did not attract the franchises for some reason,” one of the franchise officials was quoted as saying to Sportstar.

However the recent list shared by BCCI disappointed speedster as his name was not finalized for IPL 2021 auction to which he said he still believes that he will play cash rich league in future and thanked all his fans and well wishers who supported him in his hard time.

However Sreesanth acted as well as participated in popular reality TV show“Big Boss season 12”where he ended as runner up and the show really helped him to showcase his nature in the purest form.
