Reports: A biopic on the way to be made on legendary skipper Sourav Ganguly; Ranbir kapoor to play lead role

Former India skipper and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly who is known for transforming the mindset of youngsters in 2000 and several young stars back then including the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, and Mohammad Kaif who played a pivotal role in taking Indian cricket forward and Men in Blue went on to win 2011 world cup final in 2011.

Sourav Ganguly likely to be discharged from hospital

Recently biopics on the life of esteemed cricketers like MS Dhoni, Tendulkar has been made and they are extremely successful at the box office.

The latest to join the bandwagon is Sourav Ganguly who confirmed that a biopic on his life will be made soon and that will be released in Hindi but he didn’t reveal the name of the director and confirmed that the rest of all the details will be released soon.

As per the sources are to believed Ranbir Kapoor is expected to do the lead role in that biopic. Notably, Ganguly has previously been approached by famed Bollywood filmmaker Ekta Kapoor and Fox Star Studios as well. However, the former captain was happy to decline those offers.

This time it is confirmed that a biopic on the life of a legendary skipper is in progress. The movie will be certainly successful once it is released in the future as Dada under his captaincy started winning the series outside India. Men in Blue won iconic series in Pakistan in the leadership of a talismanic skipper.
