BCCI officials to visit Oman and Dubai for T20 World Cup preparation on Friday

The T20 World Cup 2021 which was supposed to be held in India has been shifted to Oman and Dubai due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in India and also India is currently on the red list and travelers from India are restricted at the moment by several countries who are not on the red list.

As the much anticipated World Cup has been shifted to Oman and Dubai but still BCCI will be conducting this tournament.

BCCI officials will be visiting Oman and Dubai on July 16th and 17th to look after the arrangements of T20 World cup.

“We are going to Oman tomorrow, we will be visiting the venue and also will discuss the travel plan of teams as Qualifiers are to be held there, the day after tomorrow will be in Dubai to have a meeting with ICC. ECB officials will also be there. We do not want to leave any stone unturned due to the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s why everything will be taken care of Bio bubble, training, accommodation is some issues that need to be discussed. We Will also discuss whether media will be allowed or not,” said a source as reported by NDTV Sports.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will start from October 17th to November 14th, 2021 will be staged in the UAE and Oman and the matches will be played at the Dubai International Stadium, the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, the Sharjah Stadium, and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground.

India will be next playing against Sri Lanka for three-match ODI series starting from July 18th, 2021.
