Ajinkya Rahane is going through tough time with the willow in last 2 years barring the heroics at Melbourne where he scored 100 runs and few knocks in England at Lords he is averaging roughly around 26 in last 2 years indicates that he might have played his last Test match. A lot of talks have been raised by fans and experts that Vihari should be given consistent chance now in the middle order.

Ajinkya Rahane

Former India cricketer and commentator, Gautam Gambhir voice out of his opinion and added that Vihari should be backed in the similar way by team management for next 2-3 series as Vihari has proved despite limited chances that he will score no matter what the conditions are on the plate.

“Hanuma Vihari should get the first opportunity now. He should be backed as much as Ajinkya Rahane was backed, if not more than at least for 2-3 series,” Gautam Gambhir told while commentating on Star Sports.

Taking about India’s batting in the ongoing 3rd Test no one expect Pant who scored his 4th Test century and Kohli who scored 29 runs barring that no batsman could reach double figures.

Looking at the current situation, SA are cruising ahead with victory as they need only 112 runs with their eight wickets still intact and the young Keegan Petersen is batting on 48 runs things looks bright for Proteas at the moment.

He will certainly have partners like Rassie Vander Dussen and Temba Bavuma in the middle and if India have to win this test match and series they need to take quick 2-3 wickets in first session. No matter what the result of this test match turns out to be Indian batters needs to step up in away tours as the batting for India has been main concern outside of Asia in last 1-2 years.
