The third Border-Gavaskar Trophy match between India and Australia will take place in Indore on March 1st, 2023.
The series has already been won by Men in Blue 2-0, and they hope to increase that margin to 3-0.
India must win the series by a score of 3-0 or 3-1 to go to the World Test Championship final.
It will no longer happen that Pat Cummins, Australia’s regular Test captain, returned home due to personal reasons before the third Test against India.
Cummins’ mother is in critical condition, so she probably won’t fly back to India.
In Cummins’ absence, Steve Smith will lead Australia in the third Test.

Australia didn’t perform up to par in this current series and they also objected to playing a practise game.
They practised on the green track in practise matches, but when it came time for the actual match, they were handed the spin track instead, which caused them to struggle.

With the exception of Khwaja, Australian batters have struggled miserably in this current series, and they must bounce back in the remaining games.
On the other hand, India increased their domination in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the four occasions they have successfully defended their championship.
Border-Gavaskar Trophy is certainly touted as one of the best cricketing event between two cricketing giants.
