Women’s cricket’s global effect has changed as a result of the Women’s Premier League auction.

Some foreign athletes, such as Ash Gardner and Ellyse Perry, were selected for astronomical sums of 3.20 Crore each; the former moved to Gujarat Giants, and the latter was given the chance to play for RCB.

Perry expressed her joy on social media after being selected for RCB Women.

The RCB’s official Twitter handle posted the footage.

“Thank you RCB for showing trust in me and providing opportunity to play in WPL”

“It was written in my destiny and I remember the moment I started watching Men’s IPL, RCB always had soft corner for me and gradually when women’s T20 League came into reality and  I am grateful that I received an opportunity to play for this franchise”

“I am looking forward to meet my the team at WPL soon and glad that this league will shape many dreams and elevate the status of competition”

The Women’s Premier League main event will start from March 4th 2023, It will be 22 days event where five franchise will compete against each other for the coverted crown with the final to be played on 26th March 2023.

All the matches of marquee event will be played in Mumbai at DY Patil and Brabourne Stadium.

RCB has strongest squad including the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry and Heather Knight and they would be looking to win the title.
