However, Rahul Dravid’s tenure was only till the World Cup 2023. But the BCCI offered him to remain the coach of the team and asked him to extend his contract, which he accepted.
The BCCI did not want any change in coaching till T20 World Cup 2024. BCCI wanted to retain Rahul Dravid as the coach so that there is no change in the setup he has created during the last two years. This could have been affected after the arrival of the new coach.
