After trailing for most of the game, Avery Bradley filled in the hopes for the Los Angeles Lakers by a three-pointer in the third quarter. The three-pointer from Bradley helped LA Lakers to gain the momentum and thrash Cleveland Cavaliers for a 29 point victory.
Inspired by Bradley’s three-pointer, Lebron James went on to score the highest points in the game which accounted for 31 points whereas Dwight Howard recorded 21 points and 15 rebounds off the pitch. The efforts helped the Lakers to record a thumping ninth straight win whereas Cleveland’s two-game winning streak was snapped up.
With the game-changing three-pointer, Avery Bradley signed off the game with 12 points and was followed by Kyle Kuzma with 11 and Danny Green and Alex Caruso with 10 apiece. However, Kuzma couldn’t continue his 20 points a game streak to the third straight game but contributed to the victory of the team.
For Cleveland Cavaliers, Kevin Love scored 21 points and had 11 rebounds whereas Tristan Thompson had 17 points and 10 rebounds had the scores in double figures. The double-doubles from the players have opened a six-game trip with victories in Detroit and Denver. Also, Love, Darius Garland, and Thompson had a hoop each as Cleveland Cavaliers scored the first six points of the game to take the 10 point lead in the first quarter. This also set the proceedings for Cavaliers as they maintained 14 points lead in the second half.
Lakers rallied for points an were trailing by a solitary point reducing the score to 48-47 by the stroke of half time. Until the fifth minute of the third quarter, Lakers were trailing by 56-55. However, with just close to 8 minutes left on the clock, Bradley scored a third pointer putting the team on the peddle. LA Lakers started to lead the game and increased the lead to 12 points.
Once the team went on to gain the momentum, Lebron James started to score in the final 12 minutes of the game. James’ 31 pointers helped the Lakers to seal the game in which 12-of-16 came from the shooting off the floor. Also, the player had eight assists in the game.
