The South African fast bowler has been found guilty of a Level 1 breach of ICC Code of Conduct for players and also been fined 15% of the match fee during the first day of the third test match on Thursday.

Owing to the violation of Article 2.5 of the code of conduct, South Africa will miss the services of the World’s fourth-best test bowler.

Rabada had used the wrong action after dismissing Joe Root on Day 1 of the third test. Rabada has admitted the offense and accepted the sanction proposed by the match referee.

Rabada has now accumulated 4 demerit points inside 24 month period and thus will have to sit out in the fourth test.

The South African fast bowler has played 75 ODIs and 42 Test Matches for South Africa, picking 117 and 195 wickets respectively. As far as his T20 numbers are concerned, Rabada has accumulated 28 wickets in 21 matches at a strike rate of 16.6.
