Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad get involved in a heated exchange

England all-rounder Ben Stokes and fast bowler Stuart Broad were involved in an on-field spat during day three of the ongoing  first Test in Centurion. The hosts have set a big target of 378 runs and England have responded well so far as they have scored 158 runs with the loss of three wickets.

Meanwhile, during that passage of play, Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad were seen involved in a heated exchange when the England players were celebrating the fall of a wicket. The English all-rounder was the first to have a go as he said something to Broad in an animated manner before the latter also did the same. Stokes was then seen walking away from the team huddle.

Former England captain and the famous commentator Nasser Hussain said on air:

“England’s hot in the weather and not feeling well. I’m pleased that a few words were exchanged to be honest. (They’ve) got a problem with each other, Broad has said something in the huddle that Stokes is not amused with and England’s vice-captain picks him up on it. I don’t mind that at all.”

The hosts were bowled out for 272 runs in their second innings in the end. Rassie van der Dussen was the highest-scorer for the side as he brought up a fifty while tail-ender Vernon Philander batted brilliantly for his 46. England’s Jofra Archer was on fire with the ball as he picked up 5/102 while Ben Stokes picked up two wickets after bowling 8 overs.

According to the latest update, the visitors have started off  the chase brilliantly. Opener Rory Burns played a patient knock of 84 with the support of Dominic Sibley. However, Nortje made the important breakthrough, removing the opener while Pretorious removed Denly. England need another 218 runs to win the Test.
