IPL 2021: Ranking all the Teams Based on Their Power Hitters

IPL is so exciting for Cricket fanatics. Indians have always been very interested in this game, but we have seen how the rage bolstered once IPL launched. The performance of international cricketers, sponsorships, all the glitz and glamour of Bollywood celebs – all these contributed to the popularity of IPL.

The excitement for 2021 has been building up for quite some time now. People are in the mood of going back to their love – cricket. It’s past the mid of March – IPL is expected to begin in a few weeks! Are you gearing up for the same?

It is supposed to start on the 9th of April and continue till the end of May. We are sure you are excited about this amazing game, especially if you are all into it and even play on the fantasy IPL app. It is that time of the year again when you can breathe cricket, live cricket, and sleep cricket!

The team managers have started strategizing and planning the games. The India-England series will help the players to get into their form and get ready for the T20 league that everybody has been waiting for.

In this blog, we are going to talk about team ranks based on power hitters in IPL 2021. Read on to know more.

CSK

CSK was not in good form last year. We don’t expect much from the team in 2021 as well. However, the hopes of CSK fans are high as they have bought a few new players this year.

The team that has MS Dhoni, unfortunately, is ranked at 8 based on its set of power hitters. Shane Watson has retired as well.

We all know that power-hitting plays a huge role in this game.

We are still hopeful about Ruturaj Gaikwad and N Jagdesan. New faces like Moeen Ali might contribute to their rally. But does the line-up look decent? Not really! Let’s see what they have in store.

Delhi Capitals

In 2020, they had consistent sides and really should have been in the finale. We love its amazing set of young players, bubbling with energy and enthusiasm. Guide by Ricky Ponting, they stand at number 7 because of their power hitters.

While the batsmen team looks strong, but when it comes to power hitters – it lacks promise. It is difficult to say what’s in their cards now but we can only hope for the best.

Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis are good but lack support in the field.

But they can win given their seriously robust set of batsmen.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

This is yet another consistent team but doesn’t show much promise when it comes to the range of power hitters this season. In 2020, they really did well at the end of the league.

David Warner is a star power hitter in this team with solid support from Jonny Bairstow and Kane Williamson. Other players like Priyam Garg and Abdul Samad are not much experienced even though they are storehouses of talent.

Jason Holder and Mitchell Marsh hold promise.

Rajasthan Royals

RR has some good hitters in their bag this time. To change their fortune of not winning the cup, they have implied some new strategies. Now, all we need to do is wait and see if that works for them.

Their new captain Sanju Samson is a good power hitter. They have all-rounder Ben Stokes along with Jos Buttler. As they say in IPL fantasy league, you should always go for all-rounders.

The striking ability of Rahul Tewatia who hit 5 sixes in a single in a previous match is worth remembering! Other noteworthy players are Chris Morris and Jofra Archer. They have a robust chance this year owing to their team of power hitters.

RCB

This team, known for their entertainment quotient, has a few big names who are thunderous power hitters.

Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Glenn Maxwell – we think that the names of the trio are enough! We don’t need to explain any further. In the auction, they have bought M Azharuddin.

Kyle Jamieson and Washington Sundar can contribute too. If played right, RCB has a huge chance this year.

Punjab Kings

The next rank belongs to Punjab Kings. They are really into forming a solid power-hitting group.

In fact, they have the number 1 and 2 ranked batsmen across the globe, namely KL Rahul and Dawid Malan. They have such amazing stats and they can hit the ball with the right cricketing shots. They also have the Caribbean duo of Nicholas Pooran and Chris Gayle that boast great striking ability.

The fresh talent Shahrukh Khan also has our expectations. Based on his performances in domestic cricket, we are really excited to see him playing IPL league.

KKR

2020 was not a good year for KKR, but their strategy may turn their luck this time.

They have one of the biggest power hitters in the IPL league, Andre Russell. He is now fit and fine after his injury!

Other names in their pockets are Eoin Morgan, Sunil Narine, Nitish Rana, and Dinesh Karthik – great power hitters.

Knight Riders have also got Shakib Al Hassan.

In the lower order, KKR has Pat Cummins.

The team has a very solid power-hitting side this year and we are sure that they will make the most of it.

Mumbai Indians

They rank no.1 and rightly so. When it comes to power hitting, they have the trio of Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, and Kieron Pollard. Clean strikers? Check! Energetic trio against bowlers? Check!

The contribution of James Neesham also counts. And how can we end the blog without mentioning Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav, and Ishan Kishan?

We expect MI to capitalize on this strength.

These are some of the information that you will need if you play on the MPL fantasy IPL app. You need to know if you love cricket!

You should also know that Captain gets 2x points and Vice-Captain gets 1.5x points for the runs they score and thus, you must select them with care in the fantasy league.

As per Forbes, the demand for Fantasy cricket is rising by the day. IPL, of course, has a huge impact on the same.
