India to host Asia Cup 2025 in T20 format, Bangladesh to host ODI edition in 2027
India and Bangladesh have been officially confirmed as the hosts for the next two editions of the Asia Cup. This announcement comes directly from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) as they invited bids for sponsorship rights.
India, the undisputed champion of the Asia Cup with a remarkable 8 titles, will be hosting the tournament in 2025. This will be only the second time that India will host the event, with the previous occasion being in 1990 when they clinched the title by defeating Sri Lanka in the final. Given that the T20 World Cup is scheduled for 2026, the 2025 edition will also be played in the T20 format.
