‘Got training from Army for this only…’ Pakistan got trolled after the defeat against Ireland

Pakistan’s tour of Ireland has not started on a good note for Pakistan. The team had to face defeat from Ireland team in the very first match and after this, the Pakistan team was heavily criticized.

Pakistan, which went on Ireland tour for a three-match T20I series, suffered a huge setback and the team lost by 5 wickets in the first match played in Dublin. Playing first, Pakistan team scored 182/6 in 20 overs, in response to which Ireland scored 183/5 in 19.5 overs. Ireland’s Andy Balbirnie (77 runs in 55 balls) was chosen as the player of the match.

Pakistan team had to face defeat in the first T20 match played against Ireland. Pakistan had entered this match with its full strength but despite this they lost the match. After the match, captain Babar Azam appeared unhappy with his team’s performance. He has directly blamed the team’s fielding and bowling for this defeat.

We lost the match due to poor fielding – Babar Azam

During the conversation after the match, Babar Azam explained the reason for the team’s defeat. He said,

We did not have a good start. Was playing wicket to pace in the first 6 overs. However, after this our recovery was quite good. The score here was 190 par but we lost because of bowling and fielding. Our fielding was not that good. If we had taken catches the situation would have been different. They attacked us and that is why they won.

Before this, Ireland had also defeated Pakistan during the ODI World Cup played in 2007. Pakistan’s recent performance has not been that good. Recently, they also had to face defeat in two matches at home against the second-tier team of New Zealand.

The first T20 match between the two teams was played in Dublin. Playing first, Pakistan scored 182/6 in 20 overs, in response to which Ireland achieved the target in 19.5 overs by losing only 5 wickets. Sam Ayub played a tremendous innings and scored 45 runs in 29 balls, which included four fours and three sixes. Captain Babar Azam also scored a half-century and scored 57 runs in 43 balls. For Ireland, former captain Andy Balbirnie played an excellent innings of 77 runs and contributed significantly to his team’s victory. Shaheen Afridi bowled well for Pakistan but could not lead the team to victory.

Ireland had defeated Pakistan during the ODI World Cup played in 2007, but since then the team had to face defeat every time. However, this time it did not happen and Ireland took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series with the win. The next match of the series will be played in Dublin on 12th May.
