“Ganguly Thought after leaving BCCI President Post and Joining Delhi Capitals it will be…..” Shastri Taunt on Sourav Ganguly went viral

'He is in Prime form, deserves a chance' : Ravi Shastri ends Rahul vs Gill debate for 3rd Test

Former India player and Head Coach Ravi Shastri who is currently part of the commentary team took a cheeky dig on Sourav Ganguly ( mentor of Delhi Capitals) which is going viral on social media.

The reason why the comment went viral as Delhi Capitals have lost five games in a row so far and losing five games in a competition like IPL means there is very less room for mistakes.

Shastri had a unique take over this incident after DC lost fifth match of the tournament against RCB by convincing margin.

“Look you need to see how in the dugout there is Ponting, Warner who come from Australian brand of cricket and don’t want to loose at all”

Then losing 5 matches for them would be unbearable.

Then he said pointing towards Ganguly who was BCCI president before joining Delhi Capitals mentorship role “Sourav Ganguly former president of BCCI must have thought it’s nice upstairs” while doing commentary.

IPL is a pressure based tournament where things aren’t easy for teams as you are playing against some of the best of the business where you can’t afford to loose these many games as comebacks are hard in these scenario.

Delhi Capitals seems lost throughout the tournament so far as they lack quality batter who can play bigger knocks barring Warner, Patel and too an extent Manish Pandey.

They need to find their mojo back soon otherwise it will be too late for them.

Shastri have been outspoken towards Ganguly in the past also when the latter was BCCI President where Shastri based on his interview thought he might be an ideal chance to become next head coach of India but Anil Kumble was given that opportunity to which Shastri said “My Interview was good and I should have been the coach but the responsibility was given to someone else”.
