In a recent development, Italian Giants Juventus have come under boiling hot water once again and this time for transfer violations. The club has been under a lot of scrutiny in the recent past especially the management board of the Old Ladies.
Former President of the club Andrea Agnelli who stepped down from his position a few days ago has been involved in a few scandals. He was among the committee which finalized the existence European Super League alongside Real Madrid‘s Florentin Perez as well as Manchester United and Arsenal owners.
Agnelli was the Vice-Chairman of the proposed tournament which was later cancelled and discarded by FIFA and most importantly the fans. The apex body of football had even stated that those who participate in the breakaway league will not be allowed to play the World cup and UEFA Champions League ever again.
As a result all the teams one by one backed out of the trouble and that was it for the European Super League.
Meanwhile, Italy’s top-flight Serie A have fined Juventus by 16 points in the league which will take them from 3rd to the 10th spot in the league. The Old Lady have been fined for transfer violations and fake accounting. They have been alleged of embellishing their accounts and financial irregularities after a disastrous Covid-19 phase which left them vulnerable in terms of finances.

This case on Juventus was actually closed in Arpil 2022 and it also included Serie A leaders Napoli alongside 61 individuals. However, the investigation was reignited in December and as a result 52 individuals and clubs like Sampdoria and Empoli were found guilty.
Multiple members of Juventus' former board have received punishments for their part in “Plusvalenze Gate."

The Italian giants are going through their lowest phase as they could not win the Serie A for the first time in 12 years. They will be frustrated to have a 16 point deduction and despite having a fantastic squad, Massimiliano Allegri’s side will have to work even harder to cover the distance.
