City boss Pep Guardiola is all set to rope in Juventus center-back Merih Demiral
Juventus center back Merih Demiral has been in radar among various renowned clubs likes Manchester United, Arsenal, Leicester. According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, The Red Devils are adamant to sign the Turkish player and are at a willingness to offer €45m to Juventus to clinch off the deal
The newspaper also read that the Turin club is of no interest to sell Demiral, as he of great talent and would prove to be a stronger asset to the club and the defender has formed a strong partnership with Leonardo Bonucci in recent games after keeping Matthijs De Ligt out of the side.
Despite Guardiola’s obvious affection for the Demiral, the fact that Aymeric Laporte is heading to a return to training which indicated City are not quite in sheer need of signing a new center-back this month -although that is something that will likely be reconsidered this summer.
On the other hand, according to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund will not sell Premier League target Jadon Sancho this month. He is believed to be a target for a whole host of clubs with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona all interested.
Dortmund though is adamant the 19-year-old will not leave this month and Sancho has no release clause in his deal, which expires in 2022. The broadcaster claimed Borussia Dortmund thinks they would not be able to find an apt replacement for Sancho this month.
Sancho is in the midst of a brilliant run of form and has scored seven goals and earned six assists in his last nine games. But his future in Germany has been very much up in the air and it’s strongly expected he could be looking to leave the club in the summer.
