Football News Clubs on high alert as Deadline Day dilemma begins!

One of the most awaited phase of the footballing season – the January or winter transfer window is about to shut down in less than 24 hours. Transfer windows are crucial for a team’s strategies and when the deadline day arrives, things start to get spicier.

In the first of the 2 transfer windows of 2023, a lot of signings and loan moves have taken place and Londoners Chelsea have splurged the most money on players. The previous record of highest transfers Premier League was 403 Million Euros in 2018 has already been broken this year.

Approximately 550 Million Euros have been spent already by PL outfits this month and the deadline day will increase this already gigantic figure. Chelsea have invested the most money on player transfers – 200 Million Euros for 7 new players.

The North-Londoners are undergoing a major transformation under the new management of Graham Potter. The former Brighton manager is being backed by the new Authorities and Tedd Boehly is attempting to land World cup winner Enzo Fernandez on deadline day.

They have submitted a bid of over 100 millions euros but nothing is concrete yet. The Blues have signed players like Benoit Badiashile for £35m, Andrey Santos for £18m, Joao Felix on loan for a £9.7m fee, Noni Madueke for £30.7m and Mykhailo Mudryk for an overall sum of £89m.

Now they are trying their best to add Benfica and Argentina Defensive midfielder Enzo Fernandez and he wont come cheap. The Portuguese outfit has slapped a release clause of 105-115 Million euros and if the deal materializes, it will break every previous record in PL.

Manchester City have paid the highest fee in PL for Jack Grealish (100 Millions) in 2021 summer transfer window. talking about Man City, Portugal’s full-back Joao Cancelo will wear Bavarian red in the second half of the season as his loan move has approved by City management.

Nottingham Forest FC are also reportedly in line to obtain the services of UCL winner Keylor Navas from PSG as the player is interested for a move to England. The French giants could off-load the Costa Rican and they also had in comings in the form of Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan and they have made attempts to sign Hakim Ziyech as well.

Spanish outfit, FC Barcelona are looking for an option to sign Sofiyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on loan while Serie A rivals Juventus have sold Weston Mckennie to Leeds United. Tottenham Hotspurs have agreed a deal for Pedro Porro from Sporting CP.
