“Charlotte Edwards is the best coach Please BCCI ….” fans ask cricket board to appoint England legend player in Indian women’s setup

The Mumbai Indians women won the inaugural Women’s Premier League, defeating Delhi Capitals Women, and taking home the championship.

Coach Charlotte Edwards deserves a lot of credit for this outstanding performance put forth by this capable team, which resulted in the Mumbai Indians ladies winning the championship.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, current secretary Jay Shah stated while talking to different media outlets stated, that they will soon publish distinct position in Indian women’s cricket team staff on ourĀ  official social media platform.

Fans are demanding Charlotte Edwards to helm the responsibility of India’s women’s team coach as the perfect track record she possessed as player and coach.

Talking about the current coaching staff Hrishikesh Kanitkar will be taking the responsibility of India’s support staff and he has taken over this responsibility after ICC women’s world cup 2023 as batting coach and latter have become full time coach.

When we closely observe the performance of India’s women cricket team in recently concluded T20 World Cup they lost against mighty Australia in the semi-final round by 5 runs.

When we talk about recently concluded Commonwealth Games 2022, Indian women’s cricket team clinched silver medal successfully they did lost against Australia.

If you closely observe their performance in last few ICC events they have successfully managed to reach in the semi final and final round so the inception of WPL(Women’s Premier League) came at the right time and also India young talented girls will get an opportunity to share dressing room with top class players where they can easily learn from the best of the business and implement those skills when they make comeback in the national squad.

Indian women’s team lacks quality middle order batting and top notch fast bowling and the tournament like WPL will supply more talented players at the highest level.

For that to happen WPL needs to happen on consecutive basis every year.
