WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians launch their jersey ahead of Mega Event

On Saturday, Mumbai Indians unveiled their jersey for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) campaign. To introduce the jersey, Mumbai Indians posted a video to their social media accounts. India’s star Harmanpreet Kaur will be the captain of Mumbai Indians. MI will play its opening match on 4th March against Gujarat Giants in WPL.

World-class cricketers have historically been produced by the WPL Mumbai Team 2023, which is anticipated to be a strong contender for the championship this year. The side’s freshly established coaching staff for the women’s squad consists of Charlotte Edwards (Head Coach), Jhulan Goswami (Team Mentor and Bowling Coach), and Devieka Palshikaar (Batting Coach).

Recently, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma also congratulated and welcomed the players to the MI Family on social media after the WPL Auction.

All the teams invested a good amount on the class players during WPL Auction from all around. Whereas, MI grabbed a lot of good players and the team looks to be composed of power packed players.

Smriti Mandhana of India was the highest purchase; she was sold to Royal Challengers Bangalore for an astounding INR 3.40 crore. Mumbai Indians paid INR 1.80 crore to obtain Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, while all other international and domestic athletes who qualified were also signed by one of the five teams.

The Women’s Premier League will host a total of 20 regular games and two playoff games in its inaugural season, all of which will last 23 days. On March 26, 2023, the Women’s Premier League Final will take place at the Brabourne Stadium.
