Asia Cup 2023: India would not travel to Pakistan, ACC President Jay Shah to meet officials in Baharin

The relationship between India and Pakistan hasn’t been good diplomatically.

For the past ten years, there haven’t been any bilateral series between India and Pakistan; instead, they exclusively participate in ICC and ACC competitions.

Pakistan was set to host the Asia Cup in 2023, but India would find it challenging to go to Pakistan given the country’s political unpredictability and violence.

According to reports in various media sites, ACC President Jay Shah is going to Baharin to meet with ACC officials.

Najam Sethi, the current president of the PCB, requested an emergency meeting in order to discuss hosting a major event in his nation.

Based on reports in different media outlets, Asia Cup is likely to be held in UAE as India wouldn’t travel to Pakistan.

When it comes to their recent Asia Cup meetings, both of these teams have won one game apiece.

Babar Azam’s leadership has enabled Pakistan to grow as a unit and to compete fiercely with India.

Due to the fact that 2023 is a 50 Over World Cup year, this edition of the Asia Cup will be contested in that format.

Due to the fact that both 2021 and 2022 were T20 World Cup years, the last few Asia Cups were based on the T20 format.
